This website is operated by Voixa Consultors S.L., a Spanish private limited company (sociedad limitada) with tax identification number (CIF) B24744351, seated in Barcelona, Spain. Voixa Rwanda is a brand of Voixa Consultors S.L. The information in this section is given under Article 10 of Spanish Law 34/2002 of 11 July on information society services and electronic commerce (LSSI-CE).

Contact with the company is through the contact form. Engagements are confirmed in a written engagement letter, and invoices are issued by Voixa Consultors S.L.

What the company does, and where

Voixa Consultors S.L. advises foreign founders and groups on setting up and running companies in Rwanda: choosing the structure, preparing documents, investment registration, permits, banking, tax and accounting. Advice and project management are provided from Barcelona.

Filings in Rwanda that must be made by a locally licensed professional, such as a Rwandan advocate, notary or certified accountant, are carried out by independent partner firms in Kigali, acting on instructions. They file with Rwandan institutions including the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) and its Office of the Registrar General, the Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA), the Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB) and the Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration (DGIE), mostly through the Irembo government services portal.

Voixa Consultors S.L. does not hold a Rwandan practising licence and does not hold itself out as a Rwandan law firm.

Laws, ministerial orders, tax rates and administrative practice change, sometimes without notice, and a rule that applies to one structure or nationality may not apply to another.

Nothing on this website is legal, tax or investment advice on a particular situation. Advice is given only under a written engagement, on the facts provided by the client. Calculators, quizzes and checklists are illustrations: they simplify the rules and do not include tax in the user’s own country.

Agreements with clients

Every engagement is governed by its engagement letter and the general terms attached to it. In Kinyarwanda an agreement is amasezerano; for our clients the governing document is the English engagement letter. Where a document must be filed in Rwanda in another language, the English version prevails between the client and Voixa Consultors S.L. unless the engagement letter says otherwise.

Texts, tables, design, illustrations and interactive tools on this website belong to Voixa Consultors S.L. or are used with permission. Quoting a short passage with attribution and a link is welcome. Copying whole pages, tools or tables, or republishing them as your own, is not permitted.

Names of Rwandan institutions, laws and official portals are used to describe them accurately. Their use does not imply any endorsement by those institutions.

Applicable law and jurisdiction

This notice and the use of this website are governed by Spanish law. Disputes about the website are subject to the courts of Barcelona, without prejudice to any mandatory rights a consumer may have. Disputes under an engagement are governed by the law and forum stated in the engagement letter.
